This article is about the Class III road numbered C219 maintained by DfI Roads. For other roads numbered C219, see C219.
The C219 forms an 8.5km long loop south of Newry. The road starts on the A2 on the southern edge of Newry very close to its interchange with the A1. The road heads south east roughly following the widening Newry River and the east side of Fathom Mountain. There is a TOTSO at a T junction and the road turns west before another TOTSO takes it north west. This leads the road back to the B113 (old A1) between Newry and the border.
The C219 leads to the popular Flagstaff viewpoint, providing an excellent view of Carlingford Lough and the A2 dual carriageway towards Warrenpoint on the other side.
