The C35 is a very long class III route in east County Antrim. It starts on the B59 in Newtownabbey and heads north to meet the B90 on the edge of this large town. The road continues northwards from a junction to the east and meanders its way up into the hills, eventually turning left at a T junction. It then hits a fairly straight stretch of road on approach to another T junction where it turns to the east. Before long, the road meets the C36 at a TOTSO and continues east. Again, the road turns off and meets the B58 at a crossroads south of North Woodburn Reservoir. Beyond the crossroads, the road continues to traverse the landscape of gentle rolling hills until finally coming to a halt on the C75 near Lough Mourne Reservoir north of Carrickfergus.
